ATP & WTA

The Home of Tennis

A high-stakes pitch for the ATP & WTA. Two governing bodies, one unified product vision, and a competitive RFP process that we won on the strength of the work.

Overview

The ATP and WTA issued a competitive RFP for a unified digital product experience. The ask was ambitious: design a platform that could serve fans of both organizations without losing the identity of either. The timeline was compressed. The competition was real. The opportunity was significant.

My Role

Senior Product Designer

Led design across all phases of the pitch. From early concept exploration through final screen production and the presentation deck. Drove multiple design iterations, pushed the craft at every stage, and helped shape the narrative that won the engagement.

Problem

The ATP and WTA each operated separate digital presences with distinct brand identities. Fans had no single destination for the sport. The RFP challenged teams to envision a unified experience that served both audiences without flattening either brand.

How do you merge two iconic, fiercely independent brands into one product and make fans of both feel like it was built for them?

What We Did

1. Unified Brand System

Developed a design language that bridged ATP and WTA identities. Distinct where it needed to be. Cohesive across every surface.

2. Fan-First Product Vision

Designed key screens around fan engagement, monetization, and personalization — built to resonate with casual fans and die-hards alike.

3. Rapid Iteration

Treated the RFP as a design contest. Multiple concept rounds. Rigorous critique. Every iteration raised the bar on craft and storytelling.

4. Pitch Deck & Narrative

Designed an immersive presentation to accompany the product vision. A full story arc from problem to solution to future opportunity.
